The Renew Redux was a special project, starting in the innovation pipeline. Working ahead of the normal calendar - the Redux was to be stripped of all non-essential parts in order to reduce weight and overall material. The design even lost an eyelet to reduce the length of lace needed. An engineered knit upper paired with a new, PU foam bottom unit reduce weight, while the upper was designed and developd with a new fiber made up of parts: rPoly, rCotton, and Virgin cotton to create a unique dye effect, and push the limitations of rCotton at the time.
